After all your great kindness to myself and to my Children[1] I must confess that I have been very remiss in being so long without even sending you a line, but let this plead in my behalf My Lizzy is very busyly engaged preparing a Bazaar[2] for the Educating of poor Children under the direction of the Convent where she recieved[3] her Education so that she is workingp2extremely hard to assist them all that is in her power, this of course leaves me more to do and think of, I have written to George William, will you please to hand him the inclosed[4] Charley and he are comming[5] Home for the Vacation[6]
May I be so fortunate as to have the pleasure of your Company, and to spend your Vacation also with us, Nothing would give us more pleasure than to show our gratitude by offering you the Hospitality of our humble Home, how de-p3lighted shall we be to recieve you, Mr Gadd begs it as a favour that you will come, your own collegiates beg of me to urge you and therefore I feel confident in asking, hoping to receive, (I hope you will pardon me) but only for your information do I write this, Your expenses in the Boat will be 1-16-0 from London to us only 1-1-0 taking an Excursion Ticket or 1-17-6 at most, first class so that five pound will give you the Journey, we shall only be too happy to makep4you forget Belgium whilst you remain with us, dont I beg of you take this offencively[7] if so it would give me much Pain, only the love of a dear Mother would tempt me to write thus to you, do try to come, do give us that happy treat, not only us but others very Dear to you, the Answer must be in the affirmative if you please;
I have been obliged to cut this for fear of its being overweight, it will give you an Idea you may show it to George if you please

The Sisters of the Convent of our Lady of Loretto have had the charge of these Schools for upwards of six years. They are now desirous to extend the labours and usefulness of their Community, and to place these Schools on a more permanent footing. To enable them to do so, they purpose to hold a Bazaar in the Exchange Rooms, Manchester, on June 29th, and following days. They make this appeal to their friends and to the friends of education, with confidence that they will aid them in this deserving work.
The articles at the Bazaar will comprise the useful and the ornamental, and will be sold at moderate prices.
Donations and Contributions of Books, Prints, Fancy Work, or any thing suitable, will be gratefully received by the Superioress[8] of the Convent of our Lady of Loretto, Hulme, by the Very Rev. L. Toole, St. Wilfrid’s, Hulme, or by the Ladies of the Committee.
