When, at your request, I handed you over the unsold copies of Rond den Heerd[1] with all the blocks used and unused, the books and the accounts, there was a balance in my favour of 479 francs 29 centimes of which you paid me first 120 francs and then 159 frs. 29 c. on account, leaving 200 francs still due to me.
As I always understood that the paper did not cover its expenses, I have not hitherto, though often very much in want of money, pressed for the remainder (now reduced by six years subscriptions to 170 francs) but as the proprietors[2] can afford to give supplements it seems to me only just that they should reimburse me this sum. Will you therefore kindly get the matter arranged? I am very sorry to bother you about it but as I am very much in want of money and Mr. Rembry simpley ignores my claim. I have no other alternative.
