Nieuwe Wandeling, 82
1st June, 1867.
Dear Reverend Sir,
If your mass tomorrow is not engaged will you have the great kindness to say it for me? If you cannot tomorrow, will you give me some day during the Octave? The Visitation is a favorite feast of mine and I want the Blessed Virgin to be kind to me as she was to her cousin.[1] I shall perhaps see you in the church early tomorrow but I write to anticipate anyone who might ask you to-day
Pray, dear Father for your wicked but attached child who will really strive hard not to disappoint you and to be all you would wish to make her.
Kate M. Woodlock.
A kind remembrance to your sister,[2] if you please.
K.M.W.
I have just burned this with a match[3] and have not time to re write it – do not be angry with my heedlessness
