Liège
You will be surprised to get a letter from me dated from Liège, but here I am with my old friends the Helbigs.[1] I have been here for the last ten days, but I leave on Monday next, and as I should very much like to see you and Florence before I leave for England I thought I would write and ask you which day nextp2week would be best to call on you. I could not call on Monday because I promised Mr John Bethune when he was here the other day that I would call on him next Monday on my way to Bruges. Perhaps Wednesday or Thursday would suit you and Florence. I dont know your address so I must simply address this to the Church[2] but it is sure to find you
A letter will find me here till Monday morning but after that my address will be
7 Quai du Miroir
Bruges.
I may have to leavep3Bruges at the end of next week but I shall try to get a few days more holidays as I find the change is doing me so much good. I am sure that the doctor will be quite pleased at the change in my appearance when I return to Clapham
All my family are well with the exception of Cyril who seems to be very seriously unwell and I fear will be obliged to give up his work Bernard has not been giving satisfaction of late, but he is going on better now. Mr Weale is so often away, andp4I am not at all strong,[3] so I dont feel fit to manage a number of boys, and the consequence is they have become rather unruly, and they are not pious so that is another anxiety. I trust that remember us in your prayers sometimes
Let me hear from you soon please and be sure to send your address and with kind remembrances to Florence
