Courtrai the 6th of Sept. 1895.
My dear child,
I have recognised your writing in your last letter but found no signature.[1] I was very busy then and have been forced to postpone my answer. I feel very much for your poor boy[2] and have prayed to S. Mary Magdelene[3] for him whose relics we have in our church[4] and who has obtained many miraculous cures for the poor sickness striken. I hope she will help you also. I have p2inquired for a place of governess[5] but have not as yet succeeded in finding a good one. Perhaps in my next send of postage stamps I may be more successful I daily pray for you and yours and would be very happy to see you again, either in Belgium or in England.
With best respects to Mr Weale I am
Yours very truly in Christ
Guido Gezelle
